Ahmed had the perfect proposal all planned out with the help of his friends at Refuge Coffee Co. in Clarkston and a few of Marianna’s friends too that could keep a special secret. He had a videographer, live music, face time set up for her parents, a set with photos of the love birds and confetti poppers to boot. He has worked at Refuge for a few years and that is where he met Marianna. So what better place to kick off the start of their new season together…

…Educate, Appreciate, Celebrate. The Clarkston Culture Fest aims to highlight the best of what Clarkston has to offer, and to share it with others. People joined the fun as they gained education regarding the cultural diversity within Clarkston. Festival goers also gained appreciation of the various foods, music, languages, vendors and activities. The day was a successful and grand Celebration of the unity within this small impactful community outside Atlanta.
Kicked off the morning in Clarkston, GA at Refuge Coffee Co.’s 5k and kids fun run. Over 800 runners registered for the event, including the Mayor! Too many smiles and laughs to capture in one post – the atmosphere was so light and joyful. All of the runners took part in the Clarkston Culture Fest following the race – more pics to come!
