Every few years I manage to grab some shots with the whole family and we always have the best of times. Lots of laughs in between catching up on life and the latest updates. Then the kids and I head off for a little adventure of our own, setting up some shots mom can use for the holiday card and keep for years to come.
I met the Drosdick’s through a friend and colleague, Scott Asano, almost eight years ago. We’ve spent one evening together every fall for seven years. There’s a handful of families I’ve had the honor to photograph and capture the growth of their kids over time… unintentionally, the Drosdick’s set a pretty high mark. I know they have treasured the images and memories all these years, they are quick to always thank me. Yet, I would argue that I have received so much more as they have let me into their family in such an intimate way – attempting to freeze a moment that would sum a years’ growth in a simple smile, glance or exchange in just a few frames comes so easily with their children. I don’t really have to do much at all but be present and available. Thank you Donna and Scott for all that you’ve given me ♥. Grateful to be a part of your family.
